programs. Civic engagement programs provide voters with the
opportunity to learn about conservation issues. With that information
voters can make informed decisions and become fully engaged in our
democratic process.
New to voting in Idaho, or have you moved recently? Idaho has one of the simplest voter registration processes in the country.To vote in Idaho you must:- be at least 18 years or older
- be a US Citizen
- and have lived in the county/city you are voting in for at least 30 days prior to the election.
If you meet those qualifications you can download a voter registration form.
Forgot to register 25 days prior to the election? Don't
worry. Any person who is eligible to vote may register on the day of
the election by appearing in person at the polling place for the
precinct in which he/she maintains residence and: - By completing a registration card.
- Making an oath in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State.
- Providing any document which contains a valid address in the precinct.
- Providing a photo ID card.
Can't make it to the polls on Election Day? If
your going to be gone on Election Day or if you just want to avoid the
lines you can request an absentee ballot and vote by mail. To request
an absentee ballot you must be registered to vote at your current
residence. Then complete these simple steps. 1. Download and fill out your absentee ballot request form here.
2. Return your request to your county clerk. Click here for a list of county clerks. (For city elections you must return your request to the city clerk.)
